General Membership Meeting - Friday, May
18, 2007
Cummins was host to this special meeting
at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Networking with other
members, a delicious lunch, and a general membership meeting
was the business of the day. Our attending members and guests
appreciate Cummins inviting us to their suite at the Speedway.
Election Meeting - December, 2006
Meeting was held and new board officers
were elected.

members enjoyed their chance for networking with other members.

General Membership Meeting - Wednesday,
January 25, 2006
On January 25, 2006, there was an
informational tour of Camp Atterbury hosted by Camp Commander,
Col. Barry Richmond, INARNG. Participants toured selected
facilities and received briefings on the Muscatatuck Urban
Training Center and business opportunities with the Indiana
National Guard and Homeland Security Work Group. Dinner was
buffet style chicken or steak with a wide range of sides and
desserts plus there was a cash bar. Chapter meeting followed
dinner, and there was networking opportunities before and after

General Membership Meeting - Tuesday,
August 30, 2005
A dinner meeting was held August 30, 2005
at the Columbia Club, in Indianapolis. Registration/social
& networking was sponsored by Talbert Manufacturing,
followed by a gourmet dinner from the Columbia Club kitchen.
Regrettably, due to the servere weather caused over parts of
Ohio by Hurricane Katrina, our scheduled speakers, Teresa
Rendon and Pat Deschaine, from Wright Patterson Air Force Base
& Air Force Research Laboratory in Ohio, were unable to
make the trip to Indianapolis. It is hoped that their talks on
doing business with the the Center at Wright Patterson Air
Force Base and with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL)
will be able to be rescheduled in the future.
Chris Pfaff, Director of Business
Development for the Indiana Economic Development Corp. (formerly Department of Commerce) talked
about the programs and incentives available to Indiana
Businesses and those Businesses looking to moving to Indiana.
Jim Schonberger from Craine Technology
Initiative and Defense & Homeland Security Industry Cluster
Initiative gave a very informative

General Membership Meeting - Monday,
February 21, 2005
Meeting was held at Cummins Technical
Center - Blue Room, 1900 McKinley Avenue, Columbus, Indiana.
Our host, Cummins Engine Co. Inc., offered Tours of their Tech Center museum and engine test
cells. The keynote speaker was LT.
GENERAL LARRY P. FARRELL, JR., USAF (Ret.), President & CEO, National Defense Industrial
Association. He spoke on ways NDIA chapter members can
utilize the strong lobbying position of the national NDIA
organization in advancing their company’s objectives. A
special presentation by TOM SMITH, Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation
- Indianapolis Office described the FBI’s Awareness of
National Security Issues and Response (ANSIR) Program.
ANSIR disseminates unclassified national security threat
and warning information to U.S. corporations, law enforcement
and other government agencies. Attendees also enjoyed a social
with buffet and time to network with other members.
Chapter Meeting - Wednesday, November 17,
2004
A luncheon meeting was held at Crane Naval
Surface Warfare Center, Club Lakeview (about 30 miles SW of
Bloomington, IN). The keynote speaker was Captain Dwight
Cousins of the Naval Air Systems Command, PMA-272. He spoke on
the state of current development programs and near term
technology interests of PMA-272. Capt. Cousin’s office is
engaged in the development and procurement of aircraft
self-protection systems. Captain Cousins is a major sponsor of
NSWC Crane, Code 40.
