Welcome to
the homepage of the George Rogers Clark Chapter, NDIA-Indiana,
a member of the National Defense Industrial Association. Our
chapter includes members in the state of Indiana and northern
Kentucky.
NDIA-Indiana Mission Statement
We strive to provide a networking,
information & social venue for the businesses of our
membership area (Indiana and northern Kentucky) to be involved
in the Department of Defense marketplace. We will encourage the
partnering of small business with academics, large defense
contractors, and military installations to further the growth
of defense spending in our membership area. Of particular
interest to our chapter is the SBIR/STTR program offered
through the Small Business Administration.
Who was George Rogers Clark?
George Rogers Clark (1752-1818) led the
defense of the Northwest Territories – the land lying
north of the Ohio River, south of Canada, east of the
Mississippi River, and west of Pennsylvania – against
British attacks during the Revolutionary War. He captured key
British settlements which enabled the United States to claim
this land during peace negotiations with the British. While a
Congressman, Thomas Jefferson asked Clark to explore the land
west of the Mississippi in 1783. He declined the offer. In
1803, President Jefferson asked Clark’s brother to
explore this land and therefore William Clark became part of
the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

ethical forum for the interchange of ideas between the
government and the industry to resolve industrial problems of
joint concern. Our primary areas of interest are the business
and technical aspects of the government-industry relationship,
encompassing government policies and practices in the entire
acquisition process, including research and development,
procurement, logistics support, and many technical areas.
